Welcome to the Greenbrier County Sheriff Department's website.

The jailhouse was used up until 1994 when the Supreme Court ruled that all jails had to offer such amenities, such as dietitians, exercise facilities to name a few, and there could no longer be county maintained jails. All inmates for Greenbrier County are sent to the Southern Regional Jail in Beckley. The jailhouse is now used as the Sheriff's office headquarters and to hold prisoners transported from Southern Regional awaiting trial or to transport prisoners to Southern Regional Jail.
