In November of 2006, Greenbrier County adopted a subdivision ordinance. This ordinance was adopted to help the landowners with their boundaries and to assist with the mapping of new parcels.

This ordinance has provisions for a minor subdivision, which is a split of three parcels or less, and a major subdivision, which is more than a four parcel split.

The fee for the minor subdivision is $25.00 per application. The fee for the major subdivision is $100.00 per lot. Both applications may be downloaded, as well as the application for exemptions, from the Planning & Permits Department web site at www.greenbriercounty.net/building/page003.html or you may obtain an application from the office of Planning & Permits Department, which is located in the basement of the courthouse on 200 Court Street North, Lewisburg.
